Spot the Difference
Comedy Adoption Show

The first words Joy said to her new white adopted family was ‘Who are you?’

Spot the Difference

1 hour - Comedy Adoption Show

Diversity, race, culture and inclusivity can be challenging but add humour, truth and hope and you got a hit! This show charts my transracial overseas adoption warts and all from birth, through school, teenage years and the crazy lost outrageous times through to hope and justice. I toured UK theatres, universities, festivals, churches and schools with the show from 2016-2018 to much press, acclaim and public interest. This powerful heart driven show saw many people join the adoption registers and adopted and fostered young people were encouraged to use their voice for social change.

This show is still in demand and often combined with the 30 minute talk Diversity and Inclusivity with Q and A.

Background

In 2015 I founded online blog site Adoptionarena.com to support the adoptee voice and inspire the next generation of families and potential adopters through the challenges they will face.
